Thank you for your interest in my website. I put this site together to provide (almost) daily news updates on everything happening in the Carbon Finance industry and Carbon Trading Market. I follow this stuff pretty closely so I figured I might as well share my daily readings with others interested in the field.
One thing I really hate are those automatically generated news sites that lump together everything with certain keywords in them. I usually find these types of sites to be annoying and inefficient since you end up getting mostly a bunch of duplicate and irrelevant news articles. So when I put this site together, I thought it would be more useful to everyone if I handpicked the best, most insightful news items I come across and provided them for you guys in an efficient, organized manner.
Here are a few quick notes on what this site is, and isnt.
Carbon Finance Report is:
- A news aggregator, linkfest, news blog, what have you. Thats it.
- For everyone, both novice and expert. I try to link to everything related to this subject, from basic overviews of the subject to more in-depth analyses of certain subjects.
This website is not:
- Political. I try hard to refrain from posting news items that lean to far to the left or right. Its sometimes hard to do since there are such strong and valid opinions on both sides. Finding a balance between being green and being a capitalist aint easy.
- An investment advice site. This site does not, and does not intend to, give investment advice in any way, so I will not be responsible for anything stupid you do.
- Always 100% accurate. Carbon Finance Report tries to provide information from third party websites that are believed to be accurate. Keep in mind that no one is perfect, so I cant guarantee the quotes we provide and what we link to are either.
Since Ive got your attention, in the near future I plan to:
- Add a blogroll/link exchange, so if you are a webmaster drop me an email and I can exchange links with you.
- Add a daily heading called “BLOG ROUND-UP” or something like that with a summary of good blog posts on relevant subjects. Or I may just include the blog posts under their relevant headings. Not sure yet. Important thing is that the blogging community gets heard.
